The Azerbaijan Pediatricians Association (APA)
The Azerbaijan Pediatricians Association (APA) has been working in the healthcare sector for nearly 100 years. The Association is one of the oldest professional associations of physicians in this field in the country.
The main goals of the Association are to promote the resolution of scientific and practical problems in pediatrics, the introduction of modern, highly effective technologies in children's health care for the purposes of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, and other issues. The Association considers public policy in the field of children's health a priority and carries out targeted activities in this area, collaborates with foreign and international organizations, draws on the experience of specialized institutions and organizations related to children's health, and exchanges experience with them. The motto of the Azerbaijan Pediatricians Association is to preserve the glorious traditions of the Azerbaijani pediatric school, develop them, and apply them in scientific and practical activities, embody high professionalism, true humanism, and a boundless love for children.
The current chairperson of the Azerbaijan Society of Pediatricians is Assoc. Prof. Tarana Tagizade, President of the Azerbaijan Pediatric Association, Vice President of the Eurasian Federation of Pediatricians, member of the Children's Rights NGO Alliance, and member of the Council of the CIS Orphan Disease Consortium.
