On 30 October 2026, the international conference "Horizon Scanning in Healthcare: New Therapeutic Modalities — from Platforms to Clinical Practice" will be held in Moscow.
Experts from Russia, Brazil, China, and Iran, representatives of government authorities, research and clinical centres, drug developers, and investors will discuss promising technologies and the preparedness of the healthcare system for their introduction over the next 5–10 years.
Key Topics
• Horizon scanning — identifying promising medical technologies before they reach the market and determining priorities for their introduction.
• New approaches to treatment — gene and cell therapy, mRNA technologies, genome and RNA editing, radiopharmaceuticals, and biomedical cell products.
• Artificial intelligence — analysis of scientific data, forecasting drug demand, and decision support.
• Accessibility of innovation — regulatory requirements, financing, scaling up production, and infrastructure readiness.
Participation of the CIS Orphan Consortium
Nuriya Zagitovna Musina, Executive Director of the CIS Orphan Consortium, will take part in the panel session "New Therapeutic Modalities: Gene and Cell Technologies — from Scientific Platform to Clinical Practice."
Participants will discuss the financing of gene therapy for adults, the specifics of assessing gene therapy and CAR-T with small sample sizes and uncertainty of long-term effect, as well as payment models and the allocation of financial risks.
Venue: Congress Centre of Sechenov University, Moscow, Trubetskaya St., 8.
We invite colleagues to participate!
