Orphan Consortium of CIS States Headed by Alexander Rumyantsev
The Orphan Consortium of the CIS countries was created at the forum on diagnostics and treatment of orphan diseases in Uzbekistan. The association was headed by the President of the National Medical Research Center for Children's Hematology, Oncology and Immunology named after Dmitry Rogachev, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation Alexander Rumyantsev.
"International cooperation is especially important for orphan diseases, since many countries face a lack of data and experience for their full study and treatment. The consortium will combine the efforts of participants to conduct joint research, develop approaches to diagnostics and treatment, and promptly exchange knowledge, which will help improve the quality of life of patients with rare diseases in the CIS region," Rumyantsev noted.
The CIS Orphan Consortium has been created in Uzbekistan. It is headed by Alexander Rumyantsev, President of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Center for Children's Hematology, Oncology and Immunology.
