As part of the Forum, we spoke with one of the leading experts in the MENA region on rare diseases —

Prof. Ayman El-Khattab, Director of the Orphan Center at Burjeel Medical City (UAE), President of the MENA Congress for Rare Diseases. 

In a conversation with the executive director of the CIS Orphan Consortium, Nuriya Musina, he shared current challenges, innovative approaches and the potential for cooperation between the CIS, BRICS and Middle East countries.
